This Atlanta, 4-year demonstration/research service employed comprehensive case management with families and communities.

The research results showed significant benefits to children and families using goal-based methods.

The design benefited from Elsbeth Schorr's study "Within Our Reach".

The New hope special features are:

A service plan created by the family, the team and the community

Five key standards for quality assurance

High collaboration with community agencies

Continuous internal and independent evaluation of service and results

A unique team that supported one another

A spiritual dimension that respects faith choices of all
